Trainee
Research Assistants x 2 -Witham
Witham company seeks 2 A-level
trainees. Successful candidates will be fully trained for a role
that could lead into a number of exciting directions as well as being
given full study support for a nationally recognised qualification.
Your job as a trainee Research Assistant will be to undertake business
research mainly by using internet, email, physical documents and any other
sources necessary to update the company’s information database.
Data Analysis work involves

Receiving and inputting financial and business-related data
from a variety of sources, standardising to common formats;

Proof-reading and data checking for consistency and
accuracy;
·
adhering to internal quality control checklist; regular data
cleansing including de-duplication and system data integrity checks;
·
Investigative work as and when database queries arise;
·
Producing internal and external reports including creation
of new reports as required;
·
Building strong working relationships based upon meeting
requirements to exceptionally high standards within required deadlines;
and
·
Liaison with third parties regarding data queries.

and current affairs, a strong eye for detail and accuracy; excellent
communication skills and a professional approach to meeting tight
deadlines. Prior experience is not essential but you should have
already had some exposure to either spreadsheets or databases. Your GCSE/A
level subjects will probably have included one or more of the following:
Economics, Business Studies, Maths, Science, Geography, Law or Psychology.
Although a second European language at A level is not essential,
candidates with languages will be looked on very favourably.
Full in-house training will be provided in addition to college release for
NVQ Business Administration Apprenticeship training.
The company would be happy to consider post university candidates, as well
as those who have only partially completed a University course.
The starting rate for the job would be £80 per week for the first 6-9
months, rising with competence and achievement thereafter with a target
salary of £10,000 once fully NVQ qualified rising to around £15k over a
2/3 year period. Normal hours
M-Fr, 9-5, but some flexibility required during busy periods.
