Partnerships

Witham Technology Centre was established in 1985 by Braintree District Council for the training and re-training of adults and school/college leavers. It is now part of Braintree College.
		The Witham site is fully equipped with a range of computer suites, which use business standard software. Each room has facilities for scanning and laser printing. Video conferencing is also in regular use and our customer training suite uses the most up-to-date visual aid equipment including video projectors. We have full access to the Internet and Email.

The College is an approved supplier to the Learning & Skills Council, Essex and also holds the INVESTOR in PEOPLE award.

Braintree College Admissions Information, Advice and Guidance and the Witham Campus Information and Advice service achieved re-accreditation under the matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services on 24th January 2007. This is valid until 24th January 2010.

	The Witham building has been adapted for the convenience of persons with disabilities. Adaptations include purpose built toilet facilities for wheelchair access, wide doorways on the ground floors and a chair lift to each floor.
The service is an outpost of Braintree College. The Witham Campus currently provides training and award programmes to a wide range of customers in Information Technology, Administration, Contact Centre, Management, Customer Service, Retail Skills and Team Leading.
*We are pleased to announce that we are now also able to offer NVQs in Management as well as on-site training consultancy.*
A comprehensive short course programme in software applications is available to local people and companies covering subjects such as Windows, Internet & Email, FrontPage (for web design), Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and the Sage Accounting package. The Centre is an approved centre for City & Guilds, BTEC, LCCI, ECDL and OCR* examinations and awards. *Oxford, Cambridge & RSA (Royal Society of Arts)
Partnerships are already established with major employers, local business groups and funding agencies with a view to providing a long term and sustainable support service for small and medium sized enterprises.
